Ontario's latest provincial draw took place on June 23, 2021, inviting candidates who may qualify for Ontario's Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited candidates who had an Express Entry profile and were eligible under the province's Human Capital Priorities stream.
A total of 583 immigration candidates were invited in this draw, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score range between 464 and 467. To be eligible, invited candidates needed at least one year of work experience in one of 10 targeted occupations, including banking and investment managers, marketing and PR managers, financial auditors and accountants, HR professionals, registered nurses, and business development officers.
Those who receive a provincial nomination from Ontario can use it to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry, receiving an additional 600 CRS points — which makes it almost certain they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next draw. In 2020, Ontario invited a total of 6,716 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream.
To immigrate to Ontario through this stream: first create an Express Entry profile, then — if eligible and you've shown interest in Ontario — the OINP may select you from the Express Entry pool for a provincial nomination.
