Express Entry Job Offer Points: Complete NOC Code Eligibility Breakdown

Starting November 3, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is introducing updated rules for awarding additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for qualifying Canadian job offers in high-wage occupations. Under this new policy, a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is no longer required to claim job offer points!

Job offers CRS points are now categorized into three distinct point tiers based on the national median wage thresholds of each occupation compared to the Canadian workforce overall:
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: Awarded to occupations where the national median wage is at least 2 times the Canadian workforce median wage.
๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: Awarded to occupations with a median wage of at least 1.5 times the workforce median wage.
๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: Awarded to occupations with a median wage of at least 1.3 times the workforce median wage.
๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: Applies to job offers in occupations that fall below these high-wage thresholds or are not included on IRCC's high-wage list.

Although an LMIA is no longer required, candidates must still present a valid, qualifying job offer to receive these additional points. The offer must be:
Full-time and continuous work in Canada.
For at least 1 year after obtaining Permanent Residency (PR).
