Saskatchewan Invites 255 Immigration Candidates in Latest PNP Draw

Saskatchewan held a new draw on June 15, inviting a total of 255 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination through the International Skilled Worker category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). This category is split into the Express Entry subcategory and the Occupations In-Demand subcategory — 103 candidates were invited through Express Entry, and 152 through Occupations In-Demand.

Candidates in both categories needed to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with a score of at least 82 points, along with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to prove their foreign credential is equivalent to a Canadian one, plus work experience in one of 55 in-demand occupations.

The EOI system selects candidates most likely to succeed in the province's labour market, assessed on factors such as work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province (such as a job offer or a relative living in Saskatchewan). Candidates who receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan get an additional 600 CRS points, practically guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.

Candidates invited under the Occupations In-Demand subcategory do not need an Express Entry profile or a job offer to be eligible — they only need to create an EOI profile through the province's online application system and meet the minimum score on the Points Assessment Grid.
